With Weekly Roundup #15 I’d like to try something new.

It will now consist of six brief recommendations of things to read, watch, use, and consume.

As always, each of these items is carefully selected. I only include items that have personally impacted me. Let me know in the comments below if you prefer this style over the old, freeform one.

Airline Class Economics

If you were wondering why your airplane leg space keeps shrinking, here’s the answer. It’s to make more space for high-value customers up front. A handful of business and first class flyers are worth more financially to the airline than the entire economy section. This video breaks it down and shows you just how much more valuable high-end passengers are.

What’s Your Body Worth?

The BBC put together this fascinating tool to analyze your body based on height, weight, gender, and age. It turns out the chemicals in my body are worth about $1,907. Not bad… Also, I hit my 1 billionth heart beat this year!

Free Stock Photos

There are plenty of free stock photo sites out there. My go-to is Unsplash. But it doesn’t always have the picture I want, especially if I’m looking for a more product-focused image. That’s where Burst comes in. Similar to Unsplash, they host high-quality, royalty free shots. However, Burst has taken a slightly different approach by skewing towards product-centric pictures.

Free Stock Videos

High-quality free stock videos are a bit challenging to come by. Pexels Videos has been at it for a couple of years now and has consistently done an excellent job at providing a wide array of content. I often use these videos to get ideas for shooting in new ways.

Social Media Dimensions

Whether or not you’re a designer, I am sure you have uploaded at least one image to social media that didn’t fit quite right. HubSpot put together this handy infographic for social media dimensions to help you easily nail it every time.

The Best Android Apps

Last week I switched to an LG G6 smartphone. I used an iPhone 7 Plus for about six months and it was time for me to get familiar with Android again. Android has made plenty of improvements with genuinely useful features like multi-window and Google Assistant. When I get new phones, I immediately download a handful of my must-have apps. Here’s my list of the first 25 apps I install on Android.
